But now sex-shy pandas are to be subjected to a new tactic to spur them on to have more babies - ’sexercise’.
Zoo keepers at the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Centre in the Sichuan province, South West China, are putting their charges through a rigorous exercise scheme - mainly involving apples - with the aim of improving their mating skills.

The fruit is dangled from a string above the panda, luring it to stand on two legs.
Keepers claim the technique teaches the creatures to perform a dance-like routine that strengthens the pelvic and hip area, boosting the animal’s stamina.
Yang Kuxing, keeper of ten pandas in the centre’s maternity ward, said that sexercise should aid the males when mating.
‘After pandas succeed in taking the standing-up exercise, we feed them apples to reward them,’ he added.
Such quirky measures are designed to ensure the survival of one of the world’s most endangered animals.
Last November, China had 239 pandas living in captivity with another 27 overseas. Just 1,569 are believed to live in the wild and remote corners of the South West of China.

And to combat any female indifference, male pandas with a bit more experience are also being called in to help their more innocent companions.
One official said: ‘We arrange lovemaking between two excellent pandas in front of inexperienced pandas which have never had sex. It does work.’
More than 30 per cent of the 68 pandas at the base are capable of having sex naturally compared with just 10 per cent a decade ago.

In South Korea only $1.5 million, but it is still 59% higher than the previous gatherings while opening of “Goblet” (November 2005). According to the company press-releases, Harry Potter (the fifth part) will be released in the record number of cinemas – 9000 and in 4285 cities and 13100 copies are going into the world’s release. Thus, hopes on Harry Potter’s successful running are rather high! Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix will be released in the 91 cinema (35 out of them are foreign cinemas). This film is the shortest one, comparing with the previous version. It lasts only 2 hours and 18 minutes. His main opponents are Shreck (the third part) and Transformers.  In Russia, the premiere will take place at the 19th of July! For this role Daniel Radcliffe will get 50 million dollars! Actually, this sum is not entirely his. He has to pay to his managers, agents and, of course, taxes! It is incredibly high payment. It can be explained, as though, Dan can be an actor of one movie! Harry Potter and his cinema versions are very popular, even extremely popular, even girls and friends associate Daniel with his main character. Some even call him Harry. According to the public opinion he will never be able to get this success again! Nevertheless, there are two more films about Harry Potter! So, I do want to believe that Harry Potter is so famous because of: interesting plot, picturesque scenes in movies, talented actors and so on. Press release, advertisements, extensive news-paper coverage… Namely these all made Harry Potter a star and gave him millions of fans worldwide… As it turned out, if compare worldwide box-office takings from James Bond movies (there were 22 of them) and Harry Potter (I mean 5 parts) Harry is an undoubted leader.And now, please, don’t think, that I am pulling your leg, Potter’s box office takings are US$4.47 billion and James Bond - US$4.44 billion. And there will be 2 more parts about Harry Potter adventures. Harry Potter is even more popular than 6 episodes of Star Wars. But, I am still in disbelief, let’s take for example James Bond, he used to be the hero of millions of people, even the icon of the whole generation, it survived a lot of political affairs and conflicts and finally, there were 22 movies about him!!! But Harry has overcome him. May be the problem is in inflation? But, it is not the end, the record is going to be achieved in 2010 with the release of the 6th movie!
